1. What is your NWSB Bank story?
I have been with NWSB Bank for a total of about 5 years. I have held many positions from being a Community Banking Associate at first, then a supervisory position and currently a Community Banking Specialist. It has been a great journey so far that has brought challenges, teachable moments and experiences that has helped me in my banking career.
2. What do you love about working here?
I love that we are like a family. We spend more time with our colleagues than we do our families, so it is important to create good relationships and create great work environments. We all live in the communities we serve, so this helps us understand what the community is feeling and take concerns or feedback very seriously with local decisions. Our customers know all of us and it is what makes the relationship friendlier and more efficient, which is important since we are a community bank.
3. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Since I was 11 years old I found passion in Tennis. It has been the sport that brought me to the United States years ago. I love running and being outside. I also enjoy discovering new things, restaurants, and learning from experiences. I have volunteered in United Way events in the past as well as supporting in any way events that help find cure for cancer.
4. Why should people bank at a community bank?
By choosing a community bank, customers are able to benefit from the excellent customer service that that they provide. Community Banks create personal relationships that make employees and customers interact on a personal level that often goes beyond just their banking needs, creating a sense of trust. Customers can find comfort in the fact that, when they do come into a community bank, they actually know the person helping them. These relationships allow community banks to better serve our customers and to create individual solutions that better fit their banking needs.
5. What are some of your favorite local activities or restaurants?
Some of my favorite local activities every year is the local carnivals as well as the food trucks events in the county and can we forget the farmers market. There are many local restaurants that I enjoy, such as Luna Azul in Hampstead, Maryland, Rocksalt Grille in Westminster, and Wyndridge Farm in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. We are so lucky to have so many outstanding restaurants in the community and in Maryland.
