1. What is your NWSB Bank story?
My story is just beginning. I have been with the Bank for 18 months. I started as a shared Community Banking Specialist between the Market Place and Hampstead branches. Now I am at the Market Place branch full time as the Specialist. I have been in banking for 26 years in various positions.
2. What do you love about working here?
I love working at a community bank that wants me to focus on the customers. Being able to take the time to build lasting relationships and help the customer with all their needs.
3. What activities do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
My passion for youth and livestock drives me to volunteer in Carroll County as 4H leader and fair board treasurer. I was named to the Carroll County 4H and FFA Fair Hall of Fame in 2022 and was Carroll County 4H Volunteer of the Year in 2021. I am also a youth advisor to the Maryland Junior Hereford Association. I love to work with kids that are building life skills to be future leaders.
4. Why should people bank at a community bank?
People should bank with our community bank because we are involved in the community. We know our customers because we live and work along side them. It is kind of like Cheers “Where everybody knows your name.” We make you feel welcome.
5. What are some of your favorite local activities or restaurants?
The family owned places are my favorite! To name a few in Carroll County are Bullock’s Family Restaurant, Buttersburg Inn, Lucy’s Little Red Wagon and The Flood Zone.
