Five members of the American Legion Gold Star Post 191 helped NWSB Bank, a division of ACNB Bank, commemorate the newly renovated Mt. Airy Office located at 1001 Twin Arch Road on Tuesday, February 19.
A dedication and flag raising ceremony took place outside the NWSB Bank office with local Bank leadership and staff members, customers and others pausing for a moment to honor this occasion and show their respect for our country.
According to NWSB Bank Maryland Market President Tom N. Rasmussen, “All NWSB Bank customers are greeted by an American flag as they arrive at any of our seven offices in Carroll County, Maryland. We thought it would be appropriate and meaningful to host a dedication and flag raising ceremony to mark the completion of a six-month renovation of the Bank’s Mt. Airy Office that originally opened in 2003.”
“The renovations were primarily focused on enhancing the customer experience and making access to the building and available banking services easier for those with mobility problems or other physical issues,” Mr. Rasmussen said.
The exterior improvements included renovating the front entrance, relocating the walk-up ATM, night drop box and a drive-thru area window, as well as adding the new 60-foot flag pole. Interior improvements included renovating the Bank lobby and offices as well as creating a new customer reception area. A coffee bar and a community wall featuring local Mt. Airy and Carroll County historical landmarks were added to make the space more welcoming. Special attention was given to making the exterior and interior spaces compliant from an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) perspective.
As a full-service banking location, the Mt. Airy Office offers convenient drive-up teller, drive-up ATM, and night depository services. In addition, commercial, residential and consumer lending activities, as well as wealth management services, are available through this office.
NWSB Bank encourages customers and local residents to stop by to visit with the professional team of community bankers and enjoy the new office space in Mt. Airy.
